A unity-DC-gain first-order low-pass is driven at its corner frequency by a 1 V RMS sine. Assume ideal linear elements and an unloaded output. Do not confuse RMS output with peak output or the magnitude ratio with a power ratio.
Which output description is correct?
At the corner, H = 1/(1+j), so magnitude is 1/√2 and phase is −45°. Output peak is 1 V, but output RMS is 0.707107 V.
